BlacKkKlansman

Featured

one fine Saturday late night or Sunday early morning, whichever you would refer 4 a.m. as I found myself at a random youtube video I never remember opening the tab for. there I saw the various unknown facts about the KKK ( Ku Klux Klan ) and among them, the one that popped up to me the most was the one about a Black Cop going undercover in a KKK (mind you like the movie poster says its a crazy outrageously incredible true story).

the movie BlacKkKlansman (2018) is the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay of this year. though I haven’t seen the other nominees, that being said the movie sure did a good job to be deserving the award. like mentioned above the story is about a rookie black cop (John David Washington) who infiltrates into the KKK by talking to them on phone and using another cop (obviously a white cop)(Adam Driver) to impersonate him when he had to attend the meetings, and the drama that ensues.

the movie was a fun ride, but not list topper in my opinion. there weren’t many scenes that stuck out to me in this film and to some part, the ending of the film felt a bit out of place as the transition between felt a bit off not that is an issue. that all being said the film tries to compare and connect the time the film is based to the current scenario in the USA with regards to issues like KKK and racism

if I had to rate it I would give it a 6/10, not for everyone but if the plot intrigued you check this movie out.

that’s 3 movies …..497 to go.

see you soon.

goodbye.

Johnny English Strikes Again

To see Rowan Atkinson (or I and the world likes to call him Mr Bean) back at in one of his avatar, that of a British spy by the name Jonny English.

I have been a fan of this franchise, for being a parody of the spy or more like James bond genre and for the fun quirky portrayal of the main character by Mr Bean. this movie didn’t disappoint, but that being said it is definitely a far cry for the 1st part but in my opinion better than the 2nd.

there isn’t a very deep plot for the movie in honesty, it does have a very clique premise of old agents being reinstated as the villain has hacked the server and gotten info on all active agents. and just as clique villain troupe of a billionaire techie who wants to control the internet. which fine and all as its a parody first and foremost. now if you plan to watch this film for its plot oh boy good luck, but if u are in for the comedy you should know Mr Bean doesn’t disappoint.

now the aspect of technology’s importance in today’s society and our main characters inability to utilize is a theme in the film. and the merge of this theme comes at my favourite scene for this movie and that was the VR (Virtual Reality) Training scene. especially the scene where Mr Bean enters a bakery and start attacking a granny and pushing her away and beating the employee with Baguettes (French bread). all the while thinking he is in a VR training to get ready to fight the bad guy in his house.

whether you are a Mr bean fan or not (but seriously how are you not?) it a fun movie to watch to chill and have some fun time with friends. and thus two movies down…498 to tackle.

see you soon.

Au revoir
