Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018)

So finally an animated movie on the list, if you didn’t know i am a big animation fan, i generally catch up on all the animated movies that release, but i had been on a bit of a break from them since a while so coming back to this genre is enjoyable.

the movie is sequel to The Wreck it Ralph (2012) my gosh that was 6 years ago wow. The movie follows up on the life and friendship between main characters, i.e Ralph (a villain from an old game) and Vanellope (from a racing game), oh ya if you didn’t know the premise its basically just like Toy Story except games come to life, with this movie bringing the whole internet to life. in the movie Ralph accidentally causes the breaking of the steering wheel on the arcade game of Venellope this causes the game to be shut down, to save the game the duo decides to go into the internet to get the steering wheel from Ebay (yup this movie is one big ad placement in disguise), which leads to them having to make money on video sharing sites for the wheel, during this time the friendship is tested as the dreams of our protagonists starts to drift as Ralph wants things to go back to usual while vanellope wants to stay in a game on internet and be part of the uncertainty it presents.

the movie is fun to watch and has some good humour to boot, some really well animated scenes and a good message at heart that no matter how life changes and takes its course true friendships perseveres and strengthens, the best part about this movie are the two scenes 1) the whole concept how the internet coming to life its seems so well thought of in a manner that makes sense.

2) was the Disney princesses scene which had taken the internet with storm upon its release in the trailer, this scene showcases Disney using its characters to full power, not only are there Disney princesses but also star-wars, whiny the pooh so much more also Stan Lee is there. the interaction between the princesses and Vanellope about her being a princess is also well done.

i didn’t go into it expecting much to being with as i have never been to much of a fan of animated sequels as they for me dont do much, the case as the same here to some extent. yet this is a fun movie to watch a sure a recommend just for heck of it.

Black Panther (2018)

the worst movie ever ………….just kidding just a April fools joke, but i am late here so who is the fool now. (sorry about a late review i got so distracted i forgot to watch a movie today in time to write one)

another one of Marvel’s Gem Black Panther was a hit amongst fans and critics alike so much so it got seven nominations at the 91st Academy Awards including Best Picture, with wins for Best Costume DesignBest Original Score, and Best Production Design.

the story follows the new King of Wakanda (a fictional African nation) who is also the Black Panther, T’Calla coming into the reign in the event of his father dying in an terrorist attack, this movie focuses primarily on the traditions and cultures of Wakanda and how its an advanced Country due to its Abundant Vibranium source. The world Building of this movie is its best part as seen we to see the workings of this country, it is during this time that Erik Killmonger the cousin brother of T’Calla Causes problems for the king by trying to take the throne from him. Killmonger has a vendetta against the past king because he killed his Father, Thus he wants the throne and use its authority to supply the oppressed nations with the high tech vibranium technologies for their fights against their oppressors.

Chadwick Boseman playing the titular Black Panther has done a great job bringing this character to life, and never forget Killmonger played by Michael B. Jordan who is amongst the best villains Marvel has offered. His motives makes sense due to his upbringing and Stance, allowing us to understand his motives and choice and that is among the key aspects of a good villian.

overall its a good movie, definitely worth the share of awards it has, and i do recommend.
